Officials of the football sector within Zamalek Club decided to open the door to negotiations with the management of the Egyptian Club of Port Said. In order to sign the player Ahmed Eid, after the end of his participation with his country in the current African Cup of Nations.
Zamalek renews its negotiations to include Ahmed Eid from Al-Masry
This move comes within the framework of Zamalek’s efforts to strengthen its ranks before the coming period, especially in the right-back position.
A source within the club confirmed, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that Ahmed Eid is considered one of the most prominent names strongly presented on the support table inside the White Castle, in light of the technical staff not being convinced of the level presented by the Kenyan player Baron Ochieng since his joining, in addition to suffering from a clear shortage in this position, which is currently occupied mainly by none other than Omar Gaber.
The source added that the player expressed great welcome to return to the Zamalek club, and is awaiting the conclusion of the official negotiations between the administrations of Zamalek and Al-Masry Al-Port Said in order to complete the deal, especially since his contract with the Port Said team expires at the end of the current season, and no agreement has yet been reached regarding renewing the contract, awaiting the outcome of the Zamalek negotiations.
The source pointed out that Ahmed Eid had previously worn the Zamalek shirt in a previous period, before he left the team and went through several experiences outside the White Castle, then later settled in the ranks of the Ismaili club, and with the expiration of his contract, the player was close to returning again to Zamalek, but the crisis of suspension of registration prevented the completion of the deal at that time.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the Zamalek administration has returned to renew its interest in the player during the current period, in light of the urgent technical need, and its conviction of his capabilities and experience, in preparation for trying to settle the deal as soon as possible.
