Fadel Shaker released
The sources confirmed that the session may witness remarkable developments, including the possibility of issuing a decision to release Fadel Shaker pending the case, if the legal procedures proceed according to current data, while the files pending before the judiciary continue to be considered.
This comes after Shaker’s recent appearance before the Permanent Military Court, where his testimony was heard in a number of security cases in which previous rulings were issued against him in absentia, before the court decided to reopen the trial and postpone some sessions to listen to witnesses.
Fadel Shaker cases
Fadel Shaker had surrendered himself to the Lebanese army at the beginning of last October, after more than ten years he spent in hiding inside a Palestinian camp, during which several prison sentences were issued against him on the grounds of terrorism-related cases.
The Cairo 24 website previously revealed the details of the investigations that Shaker underwent during the past days, after he was summoned to listen to his statements regarding a number of video clips circulating on social media sites, in which a person suspected of making threats to the Lebanese army appeared.
According to sources close to the artist, the competent authorities showed these clips to him, and after examining and examining them, it became clear that they were old recordings dating back to before the events of the Battle of Abra, and had no connection to the accusations that were raised recently.
The sources added that these clips were filmed in a context completely different from what was circulated, as Fadel Shaker was at that time speaking in defense of himself and his family members, after he was exposed to attacks in the city of Sidon, which included smashing and burning his restaurant, in addition to burning his private home.
