During the meeting, the Governor of Qalyubia confirmed that the primary goal of this cooperation is to provide a service worthy of the citizens of the governorate, by providing a safe and comfortable means of transportation at reasonable prices, noting the governorate’s keenness to develop the transportation sector in a way that reduces pressure on citizens and provides civilized and organized alternatives for transportation between cities and centers.
The governor pointed out the importance of focusing on vital points that affect citizens’ daily needs, most notably universities and major hospitals, to ensure easy transportation of students, patients, and workers to their various destinations without suffering.
The governor added that the parking file is a top priority for the executive branch in the governorate during the current period, especially in light of the citizens’ complaints related to regular movement within the parking lots, stressing the need to intervene and develop practical solutions that contribute to reducing congestion and regulating traffic, by opening new lines and increasing the supply of mass transportation.
The governor directed company officials to prepare a comprehensive, detailed proposal that includes the new lines proposed for operation, taking into account the geographical distribution of the centers, cities, and places most in need of service.
For its part, the company and its representatives expressed their full readiness to support the governorate’s transportation system and increase the number of operating buses, stressing that the new buses will provide a distinguished service compared to traditional means of transportation, by committing to specific and regular stops that cover a wider range and serve a larger segment of citizens.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Iman Rayan, Deputy Governor of Qalyubia, and Mr. Reda Owais, Director of the Parking and Service Project in the Governorate, in addition to representatives of the Public Bus Transport Company, in order to provide technical coordination and determine the routes most in need of support during the next stage.
