The details of the incident go back to December 2025, when information was received by security personnel in the city of Al-Tur indicating that two people, one of whom was “M.M.H.”, working as a driver, and the other, “A.M.Z.,” was unemployed. When the police officers approached the car, the two accused tried to escape, but the forces were able to control and arrest them. When the first accused was searched, two mobile phones and a sum of money were found in his possession, while the second accused was found in the possession of a white weapon with traces of hashish. A search of the car also resulted in the seizure of a black bag containing a quantity of hashish.

When the defendants were confronted, they admitted to possessing narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and to possessing mobile phones to facilitate communication with customers.

Report No. 3483 of 2025, Al-Tur misdemeanors, was issued regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution ordered their precautionary detention and that samples of the seized items be sent to the laboratory. For analysis, the seized amounts of money are deposited in the court treasury.

The case was referred to the South Sinai Criminal Court, and was registered as No. 1662 of the District of South Sinai for the year 2025, which issued its advanced ruling of imprisonment and a fine.
