The South Sinai Criminal Court, in its session held today, ruled to punish a driver and an unemployed man with three years in prison, and fined each of them 50,000 pounds, after convicting them of trafficking in materials. Narcotic In the city of Tur Sinai.
The ruling was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Ihab Muhammad Esmat, with the membership of Counselors Muhammad Ali Abdel Majeed, Hamed Ibrahim Abdel Qader, and Ahmed Mukhtar Abu Ismail, and in the presence of Islam Abdel Samie, the prosecutor, and Muhammad Abdel Sattar and Ahmed Abdel Basset, the court secretariat.
The details of the incident go back to December 2025, when information was received by security personnel in the city of Al-Tur indicating that two people, one of whom was “M.M.H.”, working as a driver, and the other, “A.M.Z.,” was unemployed. He had previously been accused in 22 various cases, including: bullying, public indecency, and theft. After codifying the procedures and obtaining permission from the investigating authorities, a security ambush was prepared to arrest the defendants in the Al-Dabash area in the city of Tur Sinai, near Abu Ali Square, while they were present to distribute a quantity of narcotic drugs.
When the police officers approached the car, the two accused tried to escape, but the forces were able to control and arrest them. When the first accused was searched, two mobile phones and a sum of money were found in his possession, while the second accused was found in the possession of a white weapon with traces of hashish. A search of the car also resulted in the seizure of a black bag containing a quantity of hashish.
When the defendants were confronted, they admitted to possessing narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and to possessing mobile phones to facilitate communication with customers.
Report No. 3483 of 2025, Al-Tur misdemeanors, was issued regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution ordered their precautionary detention and that samples of the seized items be sent to the laboratory. 
For analysis, the seized amounts of money are deposited in the court treasury.
The case was referred to the South Sinai Criminal Court, and was registered as No. 1662 of the District of South Sinai for the year 2025, which issued its advanced ruling of imprisonment and a fine.
