Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister received Supply And Internal Trade, detailed reports from the Ministry’s Central Operations Room, regarding the regularity of work in the supply system at the level of the governorates of the Republic during the days of Eid, within the framework of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade’s keenness to ensure the stability of markets and the availability of basic commodities during the blessed Eid al-Fitr period.

5,713 violations were issued within 4 days, including bakeries, markets, and petroleum products

The follow-up included real-time field reports from the supply directorates in the governorates, in addition to continuous monitoring of the status of the availability of goods and the movement of circulation through the Holding Company for Food Industries and its subsidiaries, in order to ensure the efficiency of supplies and the regularity of pumping operations in consumer complexes and food outlets.

The reports confirmed the stability of the general condition of the markets and the availability of basic commodities in appropriate quantities, with the continued regular pumping of food and supply commodities to meet the needs of citizens without any obstacles.

In the same context, reports indicated the intensification of monitoring campaigns on markets, municipal bakeries, butane warehouses, and gas stations, as these campaigns resulted in the arrest of various violations, including goods of unknown origin, with the necessary legal measures being taken against violators.

The reports also showed the regularity of the disbursement of food supplies, in addition to the regularity of the distribution of petroleum products, without monitoring any bottlenecks or crises in supplies, which reflects the efficiency and stability of the supply system.

The total number of violations issued during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, from March 19 to 22, 2026, amounted to 5,713 violations, including 3,881 bakery violations, 1,650 market violations, and 182 petroleum products violations, which reflects the continuing efforts of regulatory agencies to tighten control over markets and address violations.

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, confirmed that the Central Operations Room will continue to be held around the clock, in full coordination with the supply directorates in the governorates, the Holding Company for Food Industries and its subsidiaries, to follow up on the situation and deal immediately with any complaints or reports, in a way that ensures the maintenance of market stability and the availability of goods in appropriate quantities and prices.
