The news agency reported Syrian SANA reported that four people were killed and a fifth was seriously injured, as a result of a tragic murder that occurred on Saturday, in the Al-Matouna area in the Suwayda countryside.
The Commander of Internal Security in Suwayda Governorate, Brigadier General Hossam Al-Tahan, explained in a statement that the Criminal Investigation Branch took the initiative immediately after the incident occurred to “follow up the case to uncover its circumstances and determine the party responsible for this cowardly criminal act.”

Al-Tahan stated that preliminary investigations, in cooperation with one of the survivors of the attack, revealed suspicion of a member of the Internal Security Directorate in the region, and he was immediately arrested and referred to investigation to complete the necessary legal procedures.
The Internal Security Command stressed that “any transgression against citizens is categorically rejected, and that it will not tolerate any action that threatens the security and safety of people,” stressing its “full commitment to protecting civilians and holding accountable anyone proven involved, regardless of their affiliation.”
