She announced Helwan University International Technology – Cairo College of Technology announced the launch of its digital educational platform, which represents an advanced step in developing the higher education system and enhancing the quality of the educational process within the college, within the framework of the Egyptian state’s direction towards digital transformation and achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
This comes under the patronage of Dr. Al-Sayyid Qandil, President of the University, Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Osama Al-Qubaisi, Dean of the College of Technology and Academic Supervisor of the University, as the University confirmed that it has an integrated educational platform dedicated to first-year students for the academic year 2025-2026, which includes the latest digital learning tools.
An integrated digital platform with rich, multimedia content
The university also revealed that the educational platform includes a diverse package of scientific materials, including: 151 e-books, 624 educational videos, 666 presentations, 435 interactive materials, and 223 additional references.
About 3,195 students benefited from this platform during the first semester, in an advanced digital educational experience that keeps pace with international standards.
A qualitative shift towards modern education that keeps pace with the future
The educational platform is one of the most prominent applications of digital transformation in education, as it represents an advanced model that reflects the country’s trend towards digitizing the educational process and building a modern educational system based on knowledge and technology.
The university stressed that the platform is not limited to being a technical means, but rather represents an integrated educational system that aims to: support the educational process, raise the efficiency of academic outcomes, provide an advanced digital educational environment, eliminate private lessons, and end the sale of books.
The platform also directly contributed to achieving many positive results, most notably: reducing the phenomenon of private lessons outside the university, reducing financial burdens on students, completely eliminating the sale of books within the college, making scientific content available in an organized manner and under full academic supervision, and a noticeable improvement in student results.
The university confirmed that the application of the platform reflected an improvement in the level of first-year students compared to last year, as interactive question banks, continuous training, and organized content helped raise the level of academic achievement and better qualify students for exams.
Academic stability despite the diversity of the teaching staff
In light of the college’s 95% reliance on faculty members seconded from different universities, the platform played a pivotal role in achieving academic stability through: standardizing the scientific content, ensuring continuity in providing lectures, reducing the impact of changes in the teaching staff, stabilizing the scientific material from year to year, and providing appropriate fees and facilities for students.
The university set the subscription fee for the platform at 1,400 pounds annually, to be paid in two installments. This is a value similar to what is applied in many government colleges, although it can be increased due to the nature of technological colleges.
The university confirmed that this value has been officially approved by the College Council and the Business Administration Committee.
Gradual implementation and plan for expansion
The platform began to be activated for first-year students as a first stage, with a plan to spread the experience to the rest of the academic groups during the coming period, ensuring that the benefit is generalized to all students.
The university administration confirmed that the platform represents a fundamental pillar in developing education, contributes to achieving educational justice, and providing a fair and disciplined educational environment.
It also emphasized that the educational platform represents a pioneering model in the path of digital transformation of higher education in Egypt, stressing the importance of continuing its support and development to ensure the sustainability of the quality of education, and to enhance the college’s position among advanced educational institutions.
She also called on students to take full advantage of the platform’s services, stressing the presence of a specialized team that is constantly working to develop it and overcome any obstacles that users may face.
