The South Sinai Criminal Court, in its session held today in the city of Tur Sinai, sentenced two drug dealers in Ras Sidr to 10 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 pounds:
Qasim M. A. S. Muhammad, 26 years old, unemployed, residing in Ras Sidr, and Eid J. A. A. A., 27 years old, unemployed, residing in Ras Sidr, were arrested with 1,040 pieces of hashish, weighing 26 kilograms.

The ruling was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Ihab Muhammad Esmat, with the membership of Counselors Muhammad Ali Abdel Majeed, Hamed Ibrahim Abdel Qader, and Ahmed Mukhtar Abu Ismail, and in the presence of Muhammad Ezzat, the prosecutor, and the secretariat of Muhammad Abdel Sattar, investigation secretary, and Ahmed Abdel Basit.

The events of the incident date back to November 30, 2025 in the city of Ras Sudr, when information was received by the security services in Ras Sudr indicating that the first and second defendants were carrying out their activities in the trade in narcotic drugs, using the department’s office as a site for carrying out their criminal activity, using the car No. G.N.Q. 8621, a transport quarter, to promote narcotic substances.

Subsequently, a permit was issued by the Public Prosecution to seize the accused and the narcotic substances they possessed or seized, whether in person or in the car.

Pursuant to the permission of the investigating authorities, a mission was prepared to arrest the accused, after receiving information indicating that an appointment had been set to deliver a quantity of narcotic substances to one of their clients.

Ras Sidr police officers were able to arrest the two defendants inside the car while they were waiting for a customer. When the first accused was searched, a mobile phone and 400 pounds were found in his possession, and when the second accused was searched, 200 pounds and a mobile phone were found in his possession.
When the car was searched, a white mobile phone containing 1,023 medium-sized pieces of hashish was found in the back trunk, and 17 other pieces of hashish were found inside the dashboard.

When the defendants were confronted with the results of the seizure and search, they admitted to possessing narcotic drugs for the purpose of selling, and that the seized amounts of money were from the proceeds of the sale, mobile phones to facilitate contact with customers, and a car to facilitate movement between valleys and roads to distribute drugs.

A report was drawn up regarding the incident, No. 2266 of 2025, Ras Sidr Felony, and by examining the archives of the accused, it was revealed that the second accused had previously been accused in two misdemeanor cases in Berkat El-Sabaa, Menoufia Governorate.

Upon presentation to the investigating authorities in Ras Sidr, the Deputy Public Prosecutor decided to detain the defendants for 4 days pending investigation, seize the seized car, and send a sample of the seized items to the chemical laboratory to confirm the type of drug seized.

The case papers were referred to the South Sinai Criminal Court, and were registered as No. 1681 of the District of South Sinai for the year 2025, and in today’s session the court issued its advanced ruling.
