On Friday, official media in Syria reported that 10 people were killed during an Israeli military operation in the south of the country.

The Israeli army announced that six of its soldiers were injured in a clash that took place during the same operation, which it claims aims to arrest members of an armed group in the region.
According to Reuters, the Israeli army said that its forces were fired upon by gunmen during a night operation to arrest suspects belonging to what it described as the Islamic Group organization, in the Beit Jinn area in southern Syria.
He added that the forces returned fire with air support, noting that three of the wounded soldiers were in serious condition.
For its part, the Syrian news agency SANA reported, based on preliminary information, that five people, including two children, were martyred, while the official Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel reported that the number of martyrs reached ten.
The Israeli army claimed that the suspects were planning attacks against Israeli civilians, without providing additional details.
The statement explained that Israeli forces were able to arrest the suspects, and that a number of militants were killed during the operation, which ended later.
