The total volume of international trade reached Saudi Arabia Its second highest level in the year 2025, reaching 184.1 billion riyals (about 49 billion dollars) in October 2025, achieving an annual growth rate of 8.4%, an increase of more than 14 billion riyals, compared to a total of 169.8 billion riyals for the same period in 2024, according to data from the International Merchandise Trade Report for October 2025, issued by the General Authority for Statistics.

The data indicated that Merchandise exports It accounted for 56.5% of the total trade, with a value of 103.9 billion riyals, recording its highest level this year, and imports amounted to 80.1 billion riyals, representing 43.5% of the total.

The data also showed that the highest peak in trade volume during the year 2025 was recorded in July, exceeding 185 billion riyals, according to the Saudi News Agency (SPA).

Trade balance

Statistics showed that the Kingdom’s trade balance achieved a surplus of 23.9 billion riyals during the month of October 2025, recording an annual growth of 47.4%, an increase of more than 7 billion riyals, compared to a surplus of 16.2 billion riyals during the same period last year.

The value of national non-oil exports (excluding re-exports) amounted to about 20.1 billion riyals, representing 19.3% of total exports, achieving an annual growth of 2.4%, an increase of 462.3 million riyals, compared to 19.6 billion riyals during the same period in 2024.

Oil exports

On the other hand, the value of oil exports reached 70.1 billion riyals, representing 67.4% of total exports. Meanwhile, re-exports witnessed a noticeable annual increase of 130.7%, an increase of 7.8 billion riyals, bringing their total value to about 13.8 billion riyals, representing 13.2% of total merchandise exports, compared to 5.9 billion riyals for the same period of the previous year.

In terms of export destinations, Asian countries topped the list with 73.1%, with a value of 76.1 billion riyals, followed by European countries with 12.2%, with a value of 12.7 billion riyals, then African countries with 7.4%, with a value of 7.7 billion riyals, and finally the Americas with 7.1%, with a value of 7.4 billion riyals.

The largest importer of Saudi exports

Regarding trade partners, China remained the largest importer of Saudi exports, at 14.1%, with a value of 14.7 billion riyals, followed by the UAE, with a value of 11.4 billion riyals, or 10.9%, then India, with a value of 10.3 billion riyals, or 9.9%.

As for non-oil exports (including re-exports), they passed through 31 land, sea and air customs ports, with a total value of 33.9 billion riyals, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah topped the list with a value of 4.6 billion riyals, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port with a value of 3.8 billion riyals.
