New leaks revealed additional details about the Xiaomi 17 Max phone, after information related to the battery and processor appeared earlier this month. This time, the leaks shed light on the camera specifications and the expected launch date.

According to the leaker Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 17 Max will come with a 200-megapixel main sensor from Samsung HPx with a size of 1/1.4 inches, in a major upgrade compared to the regular Xiaomi 17 phone, which includes a main rear camera with a resolution of only 50 megapixels.

In addition, the phone will include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera from Sony within the IMX8 series with a size of 1/1.95 inches, in addition to a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera as well.

Regarding the launch date, the same leaks indicate that Xiaomi may unveil the 17 Max phone during the second quarter of this year, with full support for Leica’s photography features, like the rest of the Xiaomi 17 series phones.

In terms of performance and energy, previous leaks indicated that the phone may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, in addition to a huge battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh, with support for 100-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging. The phone is also expected to adopt a design similar to the basic Xiaomi 17 phone.
