Xiaomi revealed the full design and specifications of the new special edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G phone before its official launch date. These teasers came through the company’s branch in India to clarify the most important fundamental differences that distinguish this expected version, which is scheduled to be launched next April 2, compared to the standard and basic version of the phone, which was successfully launched in the global markets during the month of December of 2025.
This limited edition features an elegant exterior design that is available in three attractive colors, including snow white, carbon black and crimson red, which comes with a touch of luxurious vegan leather and a shiny gold frame. These options differ completely from the colors of the standard version, which was available in black, icy blue, and misty purple, while the thickness of the new phone varies according to the chosen color, as the thickness of the black version is 7.35 mm, the white version is 7.4 mm, and the thickness of the red version is 7.82 mm.
The imaging system in this special edition witnesses clear modifications compared to the standard version to meet the needs of photography enthusiasts. The new phone relies on a main rear camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels instead of the 108-megapixel camera in the usual version. This advanced camera supports the ability to record video clips in 4K ultra-resolution and the dynamic shot feature, in addition to the ability to smoothly switch between three different focal lengths when taking personal photos.
The battery capacity is one of the most noticeable upgrades in this phone to ensure longer operating periods for users. The special edition contains a huge battery with a capacity of 5800 mAh, which is sufficient to work for more than 44 continuous hours, surpassing the standard version that relied on a carbon and silicon battery with a capacity of 5520 mAh and lasts for more than 38 hours. Both versions support fast wired charging technology with a capacity of 45 watts to save time.
The internal hardware specifications are largely identical between the two phones to provide the same strong and stable levels of performance. Xiaomi confirms that the special edition will operate with the same reliable Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor found in the standard version to ensure smooth performance free of any slowdowns for a period of up to 48 full months. Despite the disclosure of all these precise technical specifications and amazing design details, Xiaomi has not yet announced any official information regarding the expected price.
