The series of smart and energy-efficient TVs continues its continuous growth in the technology markets with Xiaomi announcing its new release. This model, called Redmi Smart TV A50 Energy Saving Edition, comes in a size of 50 inches and represents a smaller and more efficient version of the A75 version that was launched last December, while maintaining many of the powerful features that the company provided in the larger version to meet the needs of a wider segment of users looking for quality and savings.
The new TV features a 4K UHD display panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and supports an amazing refresh rate of 144 Hz. This advanced True Color panel is capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors within an elegant metal frame. The device is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor coupled with a Mali G31 MP2 graphics processing unit, along with a 2GB random access memory and an internal storage space of 32GB to ensure smooth, stutter-free performance.

Xiaomi has equipped this TV with two bottom speakers with a power of 10 watts each, with support for the bass boost feature for an immersive audio experience. The device offers various connectivity options, including two USB-A ports, an Ethernet network port, an S/PDIF port, an AV input, an antenna port, and two HDMI ports, one of which supports ARC technology, in addition to support for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks and the screen streaming feature from various mobile devices running Android and iOS systems, and Windows and Mac computers, for easy sharing of content.
The TV achieves a remarkable superiority in energy consumption at a rate of only 75 watts, achieving the first level rating in energy efficiency within China. The device runs on the innovative HyperOS operating system, which provides a smooth and responsive user interface, and includes an integrated control center that allows users to manage and control all compatible smart home devices with complete ease directly through the TV screen, making it the primary hub for entertainment and smart home management at the same time.
This economical and energy-saving version is currently available for direct purchase in the Chinese market at a price of 1,399 yuan, which is equivalent to about 203 US dollars. Redmi or its parent company have not yet revealed any official plans or intentions to launch this distinctive smart TV in global markets or other regions outside China, so consumers around the world remain in a state of anticipation for any future announcements that may give them the opportunity to purchase this device that combines high specifications and a competitive price.
