The Decathlon Btwin E-Three 500 long electric cargo bike is now available in several European countries. This electric bike is based on an older model, with a larger battery for a longer assist range. Other features of the 8-speed bike include Suunto suspension and a range of accessories.
Decathlon has launched a new electric bike in Europe, the Btwin E-Three 500. This model is set to replace the Btwin (formerly Elops) R500E, which the brand has sold for several years.
The new Decathlon Btwin E-Three 500 is an 8-speed electric bike powered by a 60Nm torque motor. Users can choose between three modes – Eco, Normal and Boost – with a maximum assist speed of 25 km/h (about 16 mph). This model contains a larger battery than its predecessor, with a capacity of 711 watt-hours.
As such, it has a longer assist range of 82 km (about 51.0 miles) in Eco mode (unloaded), 65 km (about 40.4 miles) in Normal mode (unloaded), or 50 km (about 31.1 miles) in Normal mode (loaded). Other features include a Suunto suspension fork with 75mm of travel, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes (180mm), and 20-inch and 26-inch tires.
Payload Btwin E-Three 500 About 170 kg (about 375 lbs), carrying up to 80 kg (about 176 lbs) in the back and 10 kg (about 22 lbs) in the front. The model is B’Clip ready, allowing users to attach baskets and bags as needed. In addition, there are accessories such as a built-in wheel lock, a 60 lux headlight, a handlebar-mounted display, fenders, a skirt guard, and a bell.
The bike weighs about 39 kg (about 86 lbs), and users can choose between three colors: Abyss Blue, Sorbet Green, and Taupe Pink.
