🔹 One-day market in Faisal
Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, accompanied by Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, opened the one-day market in the Faisal area in Giza Governorate, as part of the state’s efforts to expand the establishment of discount markets and provide basic goods to citizens at reasonable prices.
🔹 Meeting of the Supreme Committee for Mills
Within the framework of periodic meetings to ensure the regularity of work in all sectors of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Mills to follow up on the regularity of work in the milling system. During the meeting, the Minister stressed the need to pay attention to the quality of the flour produced and used in the production of the loaf of subsidized bread provided to citizens on support cards.
🔹 Meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Social Justice
Chaired by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, participated in the meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Social Justice. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the file of developing the support system, and the efforts made in this regard, which come within the framework of the state’s direction to enhance the efficiency of targeting, achieve social justice, and ensure that support reaches those who deserve it.
🔹Al-Ahram celebration of the 150th anniversary of its founding
Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, participated in the celebration organized by Al-Ahram Foundation on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of its founding, under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, which was held at the Foundation’s headquarters, entitled “A Journey of Enlightenment… The Memory of the Nation.”
The Minister expressed his pride in participating in the celebration of the founding of the ancient national edifice, Al-Ahram Foundation, stressing that it is a living conscience of the nation and a faithful witness to its history and its political, economic and social transformations.
🔹 Market and exhibition for family supplies and discounted food commodities in the Sabtieh area
Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, accompanied by Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, opened the market and exhibition for family supplies and discounted food commodities in the new Sabtiya parking lot, Tuesday, December 30, as part of the state’s efforts to expand the establishment of commodity markets and outlets to provide food and basic commodities to citizens at reasonable prices, and reduce intermediate trading circles.
🔹 An expanded meeting with the ministry’s leaders, agencies and subsidiaries
In a clear confirmation of the importance of integrating roles between the various levels of management and decision-making, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, began the new year by holding an expanded meeting with the ministry’s leaders and heads of affiliated agencies, within the framework of continuous monitoring of the performance of the supply and internal trade system, unifying the institutional vision, and determining work priorities during the next stage, in a way that ensures continued market stability and improves the level of services provided to citizens.
This reflects the Ministry’s keenness to strengthen institutional coordination between the Ministry’s General Office and the affiliated entities and companies, follow up on the executive position of all work files, evaluate performance during the past period, and build on the achievements achieved, while setting priorities for the next stage according to a clear vision aimed at raising the efficiency of the work system and achieving a direct impact that is felt by the citizen.
🔹 Providing commercial registry services on the Egypt Digital Platform in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology
Within the framework of implementing the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and in line with the ministry’s strategy in implementing digital transformation in all files, the Internal Trade Development Authority announced, in light of the increasing demand for using the “Digital Egypt” platform, that a number of (9) commercial registry services will be available exclusively through the platform, as of January 1, 2026.
