Ostar officially launched its new Maco 470 small computer in the Chinese market, while confirming its plans to provide it in global markets later this year. This innovative version represents the latest addition to the family of small-sized computers produced by Ostar, targeting users looking for powerful performance and a compact design in one device that meets daily work and entertainment needs with high efficiency and great reliability.

This important step comes approximately six months after Ostar launched the first mini-computer named Maco in the world. Ostar provided the previous versions with powerful processors such as the Ryzen 7 H 255 and the Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, while providing an OCuLink port to expand the capabilities of external graphics. Then, it followed them with an economical version based on the Ryzen 7 Pro 6850H processor, which is currently available at a price of 319 US dollars.

The new computer relies on the advanced Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor from AMD, which belongs to the Gorgon Point generation, to provide exceptional speeds. Technical tests indicate that this processor offers slight and acceptable improvements in overall performance compared to the older Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, and Ostar took advantage of the capabilities of this new processor to provide full support for working with LPDDR5-8533 random memory to ensure a very fast response and a stutter-free user experience while running heavy applications.

This advanced version maintains the superior connectivity feature via the OCuLink port, which Ostar has cleverly placed on the left side of the mini-computer’s chassis. This technical addition plays a pivotal role in enhancing the device’s capabilities as it allows users to connect external graphics cards with complete ease, which turns this compact computer into a powerful gaming platform or professional workstation capable of dealing with complex design and montage tasks that require massive graphic processing and advanced hardware resources.

Ostar is currently offering its new computer in the Chinese market at a price of 6,699 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to about 969 US dollars. This model comes equipped with a random memory capacity of 32 GB with a large internal storage space of 1 TB, and although Ostar has confirmed that the device will be launched globally soon, it is discreet until this moment from sharing any official details about the expected prices or the exact dates for the availability of this innovative small computer in the rest of the international markets.
