The first “Snap Minis” began to appear within the main Snapchat application, convincing users to stay longer within the application and not leave it to use other applications. Snap Minis are simple mini applications created by developers using HTML5 and located within the main Snapchat application for all users. They can be used directly by searching for them without the need for any installation.
The first batch of widgets are now available for use, namely Headspace, Let’s Do It, Prediction Master and Flashcards.
Snapchat promises to launch a mini version of other applications such as Saturn, Tembo, Atom, and Coachella.
Last month, Snap announced the widget feature, which is a new stage of openness to developers. It had previously promised to make more tools related to camera and photography features available to developers as well, which means that external applications may be able to use the application’s lenses.
