
She declared Injazat Company Al Masria, the first integrated developer and operator of energy and water in Egypt, announced expansion plans for a new phase in the local and regional market, with expected investments exceeding $100 million during the years 2026 and 2027, within smart and green infrastructure projects for the commercial and industrial sectors, according to what was stated by Mohamed El Demerdash, Managing Director of the company.
Focus on sustainable energy and smart agriculture
The expansion comes within the framework of “Injazat” strategy to develop and operate green infrastructure projects for clean energy, water and agriculture, in addition to managing assets and investment funds. Al-Demerdash explained that the company is working to launch an integrated and sustainable agricultural project, which includes a technological system to support farmers, including knowledge transfer, agricultural extension, and smart energy and water solutions, which contributes to reducing consumption costs and improving the efficiency of agricultural operations.
Regional and African expansion
Al-Demerdash pointed out that Injazat is focusing on spreading across the Middle East and Africa region by 2027, to develop major projects in renewable energy, water, and agricultural technologies, as part of a trend towards green infrastructure. This expansion comes in line with Egypt’s sustainable energy strategy, which aims for renewable energy to constitute 42% of the total capacity of the national electricity grid by 2030.
SAVE Fund to finance infrastructure projects
The company revealed its plan to raise $200 million for its SAVE Fund, with an initial close targeted between $50 million and $70 million in the second quarter of 2026, followed by a final close within 18 months. The fund’s investment will focus on clean technology, solar power plants, mini-grids, water plants, smart irrigation systems, and agricultural technology solutions, in addition to investing in the agricultural value-added chain and logistics services.
Enhancing the company’s role in the green transformation
Al-Demerdash stressed that Injazat is constantly developing technology to support green transformation projects in the region, to be a major player in the field of energy, water, and smart agriculture, thus contributing to achieving sustainable development and enhancing advanced infrastructure in Egypt and the region’s markets.
