The “Ayaneo Next 2” is one of the portable gaming devices that the company has been hinting at for a while. Although the brand shared most of the device’s specifications, details of the launch date and prices have not yet been revealed, but that will change soon.

Ayaneo has announced the date of its next product unveiling session, which is today, February 8, 2026. For those who do not know, in these sessions the company is showcasing and launching new products, and as the announcement indicates, the “Next 2” device will be the star of the upcoming event.

Looking back, Ayaneo has been teasing this portable device for quite some time, as the first hints of it appeared in July 2025, and the company later announced that it would soon be launched on the Indiegogo platform. However, there have been major changes in the way the company operates, delaying crowdfunding plans for many devices.

Now, with the latest announcement, it seems that the launch of the “Next 2” device powered by the “Strix Halo” processor is imminent. Since the initial announcement, the brand has shared a lot of details about the device, including the design, cooling system, battery capacity, and screen.

For those who missed the previous announcements, the “Ayaneo Next 2” will feature a built-in battery, which makes it different from the “GPD Win 5” device that also works in the “AMD Strix Halo” lineup. It also comes with a fairly large screen, which is said to be the same 165Hz OLED panel found in the “RedMagic Astra” device.

It has also been confirmed that the device will feature “Hall Effect” control sticks and linear actuators, with dual-mode trigger locks, and ergonomic back buttons that provide ten-finger control. Of course, potential buyers should take into account the Next 2’s size, as it is noticeably larger than competing devices like the OneXFly Apex and GPD Win 5.
