AOC has put its new Agon Pro AGP277KX gaming monitor up for pre-order in the Chinese market after its unveiling in late 2025. This innovative screen measures 27 inches and features dual mode support, which allows users to seamlessly switch between 5K ultra-clear resolution and traditional FHD resolution to meet various needs. It is very likely that this pioneering version will be launched in global markets soon, given the company’s long and excellent track record in providing its products to users around the world.

The screen offers a display resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels to provide an amazing pixel density of 218 pixels per inch. This ultra-high resolution ensures exceptional clarity, making it an ideal choice for intense productivity tasks, competitive gaming, and watching favorite anime episodes with the highest possible visual quality, while the maximum refresh rate reaches 180 Hz when using 5K resolution, and rises to an amazing rate of 350 Hz when switching to FHD resolution, giving professional and amateur gamers a smooth, stutter-free experience.

The panel provides 99% DCI-P3 color coverage and 100% sRGB color coverage with a chromatic aberration ratio of less than 1 to deliver accurate and realistic colors. These amazing color specifications make the screen a powerful tool that is very suitable for the work of designing and editing precise images for those who do not mind a peak brightness of 500 nits. However, on the other hand, there is no mini LED backlight support, so the screen offers an average contrast ratio of only 1000:1, which may not satisfy fans of HDR technology.

The screen carries a wide range of features aimed at enhancing the gaming experience, such as the dynamic aiming indicator and improving dark areas to easily spot enemies. The screen supports comfortable adjustments, including tilt, rotation, height adjustment, and pivot position to suit the sitting position, and includes excellent connectivity options that include a DisplayPort 2.1 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port that supports 65 watts of power delivery, in addition to three USB Type-A ports and a USB Type-B port to connect all accessories.

The screen is currently available for pre-order at a price of 5,999 yuan, which is equivalent to about 871 US dollars. Despite the possibility of a global launch in the future, there are no clear plans for that at this moment, and users looking for an alternative screen with a 5K resolution and a refresh rate of 180 Hz can currently turn to the ROG Strix XG27JCG screen from Asus, which is available at a price of 850 US dollars through the Amazon platform to provide very close performance.
