The General Meteorological Authority announced details of the weather condition today, Sunday, as the country witnesses fluctuating weather between cold in the morning and moderate to hot during the day, with cold weather returning at night in most parts.
The Authority confirmed that some areas will witness chances of rain of varying intensity, with noticeable wind activity in a number of governorates, affecting the perception of temperatures.
Rainfall chances and meteorological warnings
Forecasts indicate that light to moderate rain will fall on areas of the northern coast, Lower Egypt, and the Canal cities, and may reach the point of heavy rain at times, with a probability of approaching 20% in some areas at intermittent intervals.
Chances of rain also extend to some areas of Sinai, Greater Cairo, North Upper Egypt, and Western Desert, with air instability continuing during separate periods of the day.
Wind activity and its impact
The authority explained that there is noticeable wind activity over most parts of the country, and it may cause sand and dust, especially in the regions of central and southern Upper Egypt and the northern Red Sea Governorate.
This activity is expected to lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility in some areas, with an increased feeling of cold weather during the night and early morning hours.

She also explained that today, Saturday, the country witnessed warm to hot weather during the day, while cold weather prevailed at night and in the early morning.
