In the coming months, Apple is expected to unveil new operating systems, including iOS 27, macOS 27, and watchOS 27, with a clear focus on improving performance and stability.

According to Bloomberg reports, iOS 27 will not see major changes to the Liquid Glass design, although some minor improvements may be made.

Despite criticism regarding the difficulty of reading Liquid Glass, iOS 26 saw some customization options such as “Tinted” mode and the ability to disable interface effects, but fundamental changes will not happen quickly due to the complexity of the design.

However, Apple may add an additional customization layer via a systemwide control bar that allows for adjusting the level of Liquid Glass’ influence across all elements of the system, if it succeeds in overcoming the current engineering challenges, which may reopen the discussion about Liquid Glass design further.
