Intel announced the launch of new Core Series 3 processors aimed at low-cost laptops, after launching the Core Ultra Series 3 processors known as Panther Lake.

The company targets users and small businesses with an upgrade cycle of approximately five years.

Intel confirms that the new processors provide up to 47% better performance in single-core tasks compared to a five-year-old computer with a Core i7-1185G7 processor, in addition to an improvement of up to 41% in multi-core performance, and an improvement of up to 2.8 times in the performance of artificial intelligence via the graphics processor.

Core Series 3 processors are built on Intel 18A manufacturing technology, and are the first “Core Series” class ready for artificial intelligence, with a capacity of up to 40 TOPS to process AI tasks.

The processors support two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, in addition to up to 64% lower power consumption compared to the previous generation Core 7 150U, which helps improve battery life.

The series includes several models such as Core 7 360, Core 7 350, Core 5 330, Core 5 320, Core 5 315, and Core 3 304. Most of them come with six cores, while the basic version gets only five cores. Maximum Turbo frequencies range between 4.3 and 4.8 GHz, with 6 MB of Smart Cache.

The processors support LPDDR5/LPDDR5X memory at speeds of up to 7467 MB/s and DDR5 at speeds of 6400, with a capacity of up to 48 GB or 64 GB depending on the type. The basic power consumption is 15 watts, and reaches 35 watts in Turbo mode.

These processors are expected to arrive in more than 70 laptops from companies such as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and others in the near future.
