The Honor Magic V6 phone reveals one of the most prominent announcements at this year’s exhibition, as it combines remarkable thinness and a huge battery at the same time.

The thickness of the phone is 4.0 mm when opened and 8.8 mm when folded, while its battery capacity reaches 6,660 mAh, which is a large number in the category of foldable phones.

The battery benefits from Honor’s partnership with ATL, a company specialized in battery technologies, as it is based on the fifth generation of silicon-carbon material.

By using a silicon content of up to 25%, the highest in the industry according to the company, the battery achieves a high energy density that allows large capacity to be integrated within an ultra-thin body.

However, Honor is not resting on its laurels with the Magic V6, it continues to develop more advanced technologies.

The company showcased a new battery called Silicon-Carbon Blade Battery, which increases the percentage of silicon to 32%, enabling it to exceed an energy density of 900 watt-hours per liter. This technology is expected to pave the way for foldable phones with batteries exceeding 7,000 mAh in the future.

The name Blade also has a literal meaning, as the company hired Rick Smith Jr (holder of multiple Guinness World Records in card throwing) to demonstrate the battery’s durability, using it to cut fruit in a manner similar to the real-life game Fruit Ninja.
