Asus revealed its new ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN gaming monitor as part of its participation in the CES 2026 exhibition, which relies on the latest fifth-generation display panel technology (Gen 5 QD-OLED) provided by Samsung Display. This 34-inch curved screen comes to join the company’s growing list of OLED screens, representing a strong return to this size after releases last spring.
The new panel features RGB Stripe Pixel technology for arranging sub-pixels, a fundamental change that aims to significantly improve text clarity and reduce the problem of “colour fringing” that was a problem with previous QD-OLED and WOLED panels. In terms of visual performance, the screen achieves a brightness of up to 500 nits in SDR mode, while it jumps to 1,300 nits in small areas when displaying HDR content, providing an immersive, high-contrast viewing experience.

Asus has enhanced this screen with a new protection layer called “Black Shield”, which the company confirms reduces black levels (or reflections that affect it) by up to 40% while providing 2.5 times better scratch resistance. The screen works with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with 1800R curvature, an ultra-fast refresh rate of 360 Hz and a response time of 0.03 ms, with support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync.
Regarding connectivity, the screen is equipped with advanced ports that include DisplayPort 2.1a, HDMI 2.1, and a USB Type-C port that provides 90 watts of power, in addition to a KVM switch to control multiple devices. Although prices have not been announced yet, its display at CES indicates an imminent launch in early 2026.
