Apple is re-releasing the first beta version of iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 to developers, but this time with an updated version numbered v2, on April 3, 2026.

The new version comes with the number 23F5043k, replacing the previous version 23F5043g that Apple launched on March 30, which indicates that modifications or repairs have been made to the first version without moving to the beta 2 stage yet.

Apple’s developer page confirms that the two updates will continue within the same beta phase, with only the build number being updated, which is what usually happens when errors or internal improvements are addressed in the initial release.

However, Apple did not reveal the details of the changes included in the new version, as the official page merely displays the updated build number and download links without clarifying the differences between the two versions.

This update comes a few days after the launch of the 26.5 beta package on March 30, which also included macOS, tvOS, visionOS, watchOS, and Xcode, while the current modification is limited to iOS and iPadOS only.

For developers, the currently approved version for testing has the number 23F5043k instead of the previous version.
