Apple is preparing to launch the new generation of its economic tablet, as recent reports indicate that the iPad 12 is ready for release before the end of 2026, according to analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

Despite previous expectations that indicated the use of the A19 processor, the new information suggests the adoption of the same A18 chip found in the iPhone 16. This comes with 8 GB of RAM, which is the minimum necessary to run Apple Intelligence features.

With this upgrade, Apple aims to equip its devices, whether iPhones, iPads, or Mac computers, to support upcoming artificial intelligence technologies, including improved Siri and smart writing tools.

On the other hand, no major changes are expected at the design level, as the device will maintain the same current shape, with the possibility of offering improvements such as increasing the basic storage capacity.

It is noteworthy that the current generation iPad 11, which was launched in March 2025, is the cheapest option among Apple devices, as it comes with a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina screen, an A16 Bionic processor, and 6 GB of RAM, in addition to a USB-C port and support for the Magic Keyboard Folio keyboard.
