After weeks of teasing, OnePlus has officially announced the Ace 6T in China. This phone is the first device equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is a chip one notch lower than the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The phone also offers the largest battery in the company’s history, with a capacity of 8,300 mAh.

This huge battery supports 100W fast charging, which, according to the company, can take the battery of the Chinese version of the OnePlus 15R from 1% to 50% in 23 minutes. The device also comes with support for bypass charging, in addition to wired reverse charging.

To ensure temperatures are kept low during intense use, OnePlus has integrated a vapor cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 43,940 mm². The company confirms that this system helps the Ace 6T operate at a lower temperature by about two degrees compared to competitors during heavy games.

In terms of gaming performance, OnePlus indicates that it has added many improvements to the Chinese version of the OnePlus 15R, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 comes with a WiFi G2 network and a dedicated touch response chip, which gives a smooth and competitive gaming experience.

As for the screen, it aims to provide superior responsiveness via a 165 Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 3,200 Hz. The company says that the screen includes pioneering technologies such as Rain Touch 2.0 to improve touch while wet, in addition to an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor at the level of top phones for faster and more accurate unlocking.

The phone has a dual rear camera led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, along with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, with WiFi 7 support.

Pre-ordering the phone in China starts at 2,599 yuan, equivalent to about $367. It is scheduled to be released globally as the OnePlus 15R on December 17, 2025.
