A new update has arrived for the “Amazfit Balance 2 XT” smart watch, as firmware version 2.16.0.1 brings two new tools related to “BioCharge” for these users, along with a pair of new exercises. Additionally, users can now take a screenshot directly from the watch, and there are a host of other minor improvements to the wearable.

The Amazfit Balance 2 XT will receive its first firmware update of 2026. Version 2.16.0.1 arrived about two months after the last update, version 2.14.0.1, which had added new watch faces for the Always-On Display (AOD) feature and improved GPS performance.

The latest update was announced on the Zepp Health server on Discord, and is referred to as the “Amazfit Balance 2 XT OTA 4” build, or firmware version 2.16.0.1. This update brings a set of new features to this smart watch, including two new exercise modes: Rucking and Mountain Hiking. There are also two tools for monitoring BioCharge power: the 24-hour BioCharge trend and the Morning BioCharge card.

The “Amazfit Balance 2 XT” watch also got a new “silent” icon in the control center. Moreover, users can now take a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the crown and bottom button, where the snapshots are automatically saved on the connected smartphone. Additionally, there are improvements to activity reminders, weather data source, and map icons, and the full changelog can be found in the screenshot below.

It is expected that firmware version 2.16.0.1 will be released to users of the Amazfit Balance 2 XT watch (which is currently priced at 177 euros in the Galaxus store) in stages. When the update is available in your region, you will be able to install it via the “Zepp Health” smartphone application.
