The American Wall Street Journal said that hackers discovered a way to attack iPhone devices using a malicious message sent through Apple’s private email program.
Cybersecurity company ZecOps indicated that these messages can infect phones without even opening the mail itself.
The Wall Street Journal quoted ZecOps researchers as saying that the security vulnerability is highly advanced, because it does not require clicking on anything in order to infect these phones.
They also confirmed that those most affected by the discovered vulnerability are users of the Apple Mail program in particular, and its impact extends to iOS 13.
According to experts, all that is needed is for attackers to send emails that install malware. Once Apple’s email reader starts downloading the message, the user does not even need to open the message at all.
