New leaks revealed the first look at the upcoming flagship Sony WF-1000XM6 headphones, shortly after Sony announced the LinkBuds Clip headphones, which brought back questions about the launch date of the new generation of the famous WF-1000X series.

The headphones appeared in a list in a store in Thailand before they were later deleted, as the images showed an updated design that appears slightly wider than the previous generation with a completely matte finish that gives it a more elegant appearance.

The design showed the presence of an additional mesh on the body of the speaker, which is likely intended for a new external microphone, which means that the WF-1000XM6 may be equipped with four microphones for each speaker, three external and one internal, compared to only three microphones in the WF-1000XM5.

While the list did not reveal the full technical specifications, it confirmed that the headphones obtained the IPX4 water resistance standard, in addition to the continued use of sponge ear tips as in the previous generation to improve sound insulation and comfort.

As for the charging box, a new design has appeared in the form of a rectangle with rounded edges and a complete matte finish. It will also be available in at least two colors: black and silver.

The listing showed a suggested price of 11,990 Thai baht, which is approximately $380 or €322. For comparison, Sony launched the WF-1000XM5 headphones in 2023, priced at $300 and €320.

So far, Sony has not officially confirmed any details about the WF-1000XM6, but this leak indicates that the launch date may be soon.
