The Redmi Buds 8 Pro are now available for purchase with minor upgrades compared to the Redmi Buds 6 Pro. However, it also comes with a reduction in battery life compared to the previous generation.

The Internet of Things (IoT) product series announced by Xiaomi at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) includes a new pair of earphones under its sub-brand Redmi. The new Redmi Buds 8 Pro arrive as an affordable pair of earbuds with more premium features than the yet-to-be-announced Redmi Buds 8 Active, and as a successor to the Redmi Buds 6 Pro.

The Redmi Buds 8 Pro feature a closed-ear design with silicone tips and a prominent stem, and have a triple driver system with a new acoustic architecture that delivers more detailed sound. The headphones support Dolby Audio, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and are certified for Hi-Res wireless audio with LDAC codec support.

The Redmi Buds 8 Pro boast 55dB of adaptive active noise cancellation with a 20% improvement over the Buds 6 Pro. According to the spec sheet, the earbuds have a noise reduction depth of 20 to 5 kHz, while the previous generation had a maximum of 4 kHz. It also has an immersive mode that combines noise cancellation and noise reduction; This mode is said to be specially tuned for environments such as when you are on a plane, train or bus.

Each earbud has three microphones that work together with AI noise reduction for crystal-clear calls. The Redmi Buds 8 Pro headphones also feature Bluetooth 5.4 technology, support Google Fast Pair, and can be connected to two devices simultaneously. There is also support for audio sharing (exclusive to select Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices), so two pairs of earbuds can be connected to the same device at the same time.

Redmi Buds 8 Pro headphones have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. It has a battery life of 8 hours of use and a total of 33 hours with the charging case, which represents a decline compared to 9.5 hours (36 hours total) of use in the Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones. When the headphones’ battery is low, a short 5-minute charge will provide up to 2 hours of use. The charging case has a light bar that indicates battery level and charges via a USB-C port.

Priced at €69.99, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 8 Pro come in Obsidian Black, Glacier Blue, and Cloud White colors and are available for purchase now on Amazon Germany (Amazon.de). Buyers also get two free months of Spotify Premium with their purchase of the headphones, though Xiaomi adds that this offer is only valid for new Spotify Premium members and excludes those in Indonesia, India, and the UAE. Offer must also be redeemed before 11:59pm on August 8, 2026.
