Xiaomi has revamped its most expensive smartphone for the global audience. Available with a high-end finish and knurled zoom controls, the new edition differs from the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in crucial areas. The Leica Letzphone is only sold with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Xiaomi’s Leica Edition smartphone is now available globally, albeit under a different name and with a modified design. Specifically, the Leica version made its way out of China as “Leica Letzphone Powered by Xiaomi.” Xiaomi has also abandoned the dual-color effect with which the Leica version is sold.
Instead, the Leica Litzphone comes in a black finish with silver sides. Designed to celebrate Leica’s 100th anniversary, the Leica Letzphone features a nickel-anodized aluminum case and logos rotated 90 degrees from the Leica version. Additionally, Xiaomi has included a knurled dial that controls zoom levels; The Leica M3 and Leica M9 camera styles also return from the Leica edition.

In other aspects, the Leica Litzphone features the same hardware as the global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Thus, the phone challenges flagships like the X300 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra (currently available for $1,299 on Amazon) with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Moreover, the Leica Letzphone features a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP front camera, and a 200MP telephoto camera.
The Leica Letzphone is available in one configuration. By the way, this is not only different from the Leica version sold in China, but it is also different from the global versions of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Xiaomi has set the price of the Leica Litzphone at 1,999 euros (about $2,359) with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space, an increase of 300 euros over the standard Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
