The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Ready to withdraw Ukrainian armed forces from Donbass to create a demilitarized zone.

The newspaper said, citing a draft settlement plan presented by Kiev: The draft plan indicates Zelensky’s willingness to withdraw forces from eastern Ukraine to create a demilitarized zone.

Today, Wednesday, December 24, Zelensky presented a draft plan to settle the conflict during a meeting with Ukrainian journalists.

The terms of the plan include Kiev’s refusal to withdraw its forces from Russian regions, while in return it proposes Russia’s withdrawal from the provinces of Dnepropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Kharkov.

Ukraine seeks to control Zaporozhye station

Besides, Ukraine seeks to control the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant jointly with the United States and without Russia’s participation.

The draft plan consists of 20 items, and is devoid of any texts acknowledging the affiliation of Crimea and Donbass to Russia, nor does it include any commitment on the part of Ukraine not to join NATO.
