Effat Nassar, the former Zamalek club star, confirmed that the White Castle is a public entity affiliated with the state and not a private project, stressing the importance of separating the mistakes of successive administrations from the history and name of the Zamalek club.
Nassar said, during his statements to the “Number One” program with journalist Mohamed Shabana on CBC, that he respects state institutions, especially the Public Prosecution and the Judiciary, but Zamalek should be viewed as a large sports institution with a broad audience, and not as an individual entity to achieve personal interests.
He added that any investment project for Zamalek Club land, if implemented, would benefit the club itself and not specific people, calling on the state to realize the value of Zamalek and support it during the current stage instead of leaving it facing successive crises.
The former Zamalek star explained that the club obtained all official approvals to establish the October branch, stressing that any administrative errors must be held accountable by the board of directors responsible for them, without holding the club or its fans responsible for the consequences of those errors.
Effat Nassar concluded his statements by stressing the need to hold accountable any official proven to have caused harm to the Zamalek Club, stressing that the White Castle is a large entity that does not deserve all this controversy and constant pressure.
