Dr. Walid Abdel Azim Al-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea, appealed to citizens to expedite the submission of requests to legalize the status of squat lands through the national online platform, in accordance with the provisions of the Legalization of Seized Land Law No. 168 of 2025, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in the interest of achieving living stability for families.

The Governor of the Red Sea stressed that the state is keen to provide more facilities and overcome any obstacles, ensuring that the citizen and the state obtain their full rights in accordance with the laws, executive regulations and decisions regulating this, while urging and encouraging citizens to reconcile their situations within the legal framework.
It is worth noting that the National Platform for Legalization of State Lands was launched, to be the official electronic outlet through which applications for legalization of squatters lands are submitted, within the framework of coordination between the Supreme Committee for Land Recovery, headed by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Military Affairs, and the Ministry of Local Development, led by Dr. Manal Awad, to tighten the system of legalization of squatting lands, enhance governance and transparency in the management of private state property, organize legalization mechanisms, and achieve a balance between the rights of the state and the interests of serious citizens.
