The ceremony, which was held under the patronage of the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, witnessed the success of the Supreme Committee for Reconciliation at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, in cooperation with the Qena and Luxor Security Directorates, in ending the revenge dispute between cousins ​​from the Ahmed Ali Obaid and Kamal Ali Obaid families, who belong to the village of Al-Awsat Qamula in the Naqada Center of Qena Governorate.

Sheikh Tayeb Al-Hassani Square hosted this ceremony in the presence of a group of parliamentarians and security and executive leaders.

During the reconciliation session, Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Dayem al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Grand Imam to the two families, praising their wisdom in accepting reconciliation and turning the page on the painful past.

Al-Jundi stressed that reconciliation requires moral elevation and self-control, warning of the danger of the phenomenon of revenge that threatens the stability of society, and stressing Al-Azhar’s continued efforts in cooperation with state institutions to establish a culture of peaceful coexistence.
