Weather conditions today, Sunday, the third day of Eid al-Fitr
The authority explained in its statement that the country is characterized by cold weather in the early morning, warm to warm during the day in most parts, and hot in southern Upper Egypt and cold at night.
She indicated that water mist forms from 4-9 a.m. in areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, the canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. It may sometimes be dense on some roads.
Rainfall locations
She added that there are chances of light to moderate rain, which may be thundery at times, in areas of northern Upper Egypt, the Gulf of Suez and Aqaba, and northern Red Sea Governorate, which may reach torrential rains in areas of Sinai at intermittent periods, in addition to chances of light rain falling in areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, which may extend at a weak rate of approximately 20%, to areas of southern Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo at intermittent periods.
It is expected that there will be wind activity on the northern coasts, which may cause sand and dust in areas of southern Upper Egypt and southern Red Sea Governorate, which may lead to decreased horizontal visibility, at intermittent intervals.
The Authority noted the disruption of maritime navigation on some areas of the Mediterranean coast, wind speeds ranging from 40-50 km/h, and waves reaching between 2-3 metres.
The authority warned that thunderclouds will have an incidence of approximately 3.0%, accompanied by chances of hailstones falling in some areas, with strong wind activity resulting from air descending from beneath the thunderclouds in some areas.
