The General Authority of Meteorology revealed details weather Today, Sunday, April 12, 2026, the weather is witnessing a continued gradual rise in temperatures in most parts, and the maximum temperature is recorded at about 29 degrees Celsius, in both Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt.
Weather conditions today, Sunday, in Egypt
According to the Meteorological Authority statement, the weather today will be cold to cold in the early morning, hot to hot during the day in most parts, and cold to cold at night.
Expected weather phenomena
According to the Meteorological Authority’s forecasts, the weather today is dominated by suspended dust during the day in areas of the governorates of Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, North Upper Egypt, and Western Desert.
Saturday’s weather witnesses weak chances of light rain in areas of the northern coastal governorates at intermittent intervals.
Winds will be active at speeds ranging from 30 to 35 km/h in areas of South Sinai and the Red Sea Governorate, which may cause sand and dust at intermittent intervals.
The Meteorological Authority noted that it is expected that there will be weak chances for low clouds to form over areas of Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Canal cities, which may result in light drizzle falling randomly in some areas.
Marine navigation situation
The Mediterranean Sea will be light: moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1 to 1.5 metres, and the wind direction being northwesterly, while the Red Sea will be turbulent, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 metres, and the wind direction being northeasterly to northwesterly.
