According to a statement by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, today, Saturday, March 14, 2026, the weather will witness wind activity stirring up sand and dust, beginning in the north of the country, passing through Greater Cairo, North and South Upper Egypt, Sinai, and the Gulf of Suez, where Aswan began to be affected by wind activity and stirring sand. The level of horizontal visibility over it is expected to deteriorate as time progresses, and the level of horizontal visibility is expected to improve by the end of the day.

Meteorological warnings regarding wind activity

In its statement, the Meteorological Authority warned against approaching dilapidated houses, billboards, trees, and lighting poles, stressing the need to stay away due to wind activity and to avoid risks. Patients with sinus and chest allergies should wear masks when going out, with the need to drive with caution on the roads.

Rainfall locations

The Meteorological Authority explained the locations of rain falling today, as light rain is expected to fall in areas of Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, northern Upper Egypt, the Red Sea mountain ranges, and the Western Desert. It may be moderate at times with an incidence of approximately 30% in some areas.

The weather today witnesses chances of moderate rain, which may be heavy and thundery at times, on areas of the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, and the Gulf of Suez, and may reach torrential rains on areas of Sinai, at intermittent intervals.
