Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the United States committed an atrocity at sea, after targeting the Iranian frigate “Dana” while it was in international waters.

Araqchi wrote through his account on the X platform that the frigate was about two thousand miles from the Iranian coast, and was a guest of the Indian Navy, with approximately 130 sailors on board, when it was attacked without warning.
The Iranian Foreign Minister added: Remember my words, the United States will deeply regret this precedent it has set, referring to the repercussions of the attack on relations and escalation in the region.
