Engineer Jihad Ahmed, head of the Faisal neighborhood in Suez Governorate, confirmed that the environmental department in the neighborhood has already begun to take decisive measures against a number of residential buildings, due to the negligence of some residents in maintaining sanitation inspection rooms, and the failure to perform regular maintenance work, in addition to throwing garbage in skylights and waterfalls, which negatively affects public health and the cultural appearance.

The district president added that the campaigns resulted in issuing official warnings to violators, stressing that the state will not tolerate any practices that harm the environment or the safety of citizens, stressing at the same time that cleanliness is a shared responsibility between executive agencies and citizens, calling on everyone to cooperate to maintain the level of cleanliness and the appropriate general appearance of the area.

Citizen meetings: immediate response to complaints

In a related context, Engineer Jihad Ahmed explained that she is constantly keen to hold a weekly citizens’ meeting, in the presence of all concerned departments, to directly listen to the residents’ complaints and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.

She indicated that she directed the executive agencies to quickly examine complaints and take the necessary measures decisively, with careful follow-up of all requests, stressing that the door of her office is always open to citizens, and that all complaints receive great attention and continuous follow-up until they are resolved.

Increasing the efficiency of public lighting and securing poles

Regarding the lighting sector, the head of the Faisal District confirmed that the district continues its daily efforts to raise the efficiency of the public lighting system, as comprehensive maintenance work has been carried out on electrical poles in various areas.

She explained that the Electricity Department repaired the faults and raised the efficiency of the lighting network, while fully securing the poles to maintain the safety of citizens and passers-by, noting that these works come within an integrated plan to develop services and beautify the streets and squares, in a way that reflects the appropriate cultural appearance of the Faisal neighborhood.

She concluded her statements by emphasizing that work continues on a daily and regular basis, within the framework of a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the level of services provided to citizens in various sectors.
