The matches of the twelfth round of the preliminary round of the Super League Championship were held today The basketfor the 2025-2026 sports season, which witnessed strong competitions between the eight participating teams.

The results of the round resulted in the victory of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria over Telecom Egypt with a score of 108-106, in an exciting confrontation that was decided by two points, while Al-Ahly defeated Smouha with a score of 64-54.
Al Jazira also won over Petrojet by a score of 80-75, and Sporting succeeded in defeating Zamalek by a score of 83-75.
The preliminary round competitions are held in a two-round league system between the eight teams, where the winning team in each match gets two points, while the losing team gets one point, in order to determine the ranking from first to eighth, and the quarter-final matches.
The list of teams participating in the tournament includes: Al-Ahly, Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, Zamalek, Sporting, Al-Jazira, Telecom Egypt, Petrojet, and Smouha.
The Allianz Basketball Premier League is the most prominent tournament in the local season, as its champion qualifies for the African Basketball League, which in turn qualifies for the Club World Cup.
