In a humanitarian gesture that reflects young people’s awareness of their societal role, students at Sohag National University launched an initiative to support the children of Sohag University Hospital, with the aim of relieving them during the treatment journey and bringing joy to their hearts. The Youth Welfare Department organized a special visit for the children, during which gifts and toys were distributed and moral support was provided that expresses the spirit of belonging and giving among the university students.

For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University, stressed his pride in the active participation of university students in this initiative, noting that what they presented embodies their sense of social responsibility and their ability to contribute positively, stressing the university administration’s keenness to continue supporting activities that establish the values of solidarity and compassion among members of society.
In turn, Dr. Hussein Abdel Hafez, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, explained that the initiative witnessed wide participation from student volunteers who were keen to draw a smile on the faces of children, stressing that the student’s message does not stop at the boundaries of study, but rather extends to community service, especially in humanitarian aspects. He added that the visit witnessed the participation of Dr. Mohamed Nasr, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Dr. Alaa Yousry, Dean of the College of Science, in support of the initiative and enhancing the values of community participation.
