The British newspaper The Guardian, citing an anonymous whistleblower’s lawyer familiar with the situation, reported: Intelligence The American newspaper recorded an unusual conversation between a close associate of US President Donald Trump and a person linked to foreign intelligence, although Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard decided to conceal the information.

According to the whistleblower’s lawyer, the National Security Agency (NSA) last spring revealed evidence of an unusual phone call between a foreign intelligence source and a person close to Donald Trump. The top-secret message that shook Washington last week was shared with Gabbard, but instead of allowing NSA employees to pass the information on to other parties, a paper copy of the intelligence was delivered directly to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

Not publishing the intelligence report

According to the newspaper, after her meeting with Wiles, Gabbard instructed the National Security Agency not to publish the intelligence report, and to send the highly classified information directly to her office, and the report remained secret, even after the whistleblower insisted on revealing the details to the intelligence committees in Congress.

Gabbard’s office has denied the whistleblower’s allegations, calling them politically motivated and baseless.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported, citing officials familiar with the situation, that the whistleblower’s complaint could cause serious harm to national security in the United States.
