US President Donald Trump told NBC News that the downing of the American plane in… Iran It will not affect negotiations with Tehran.
In a brief interview with NBC News, Trump refused to discuss details of the search and rescue efforts underway in Iran after the downing of an American plane, in his first comment on the incident.
In response to a question about whether today’s events would affect any negotiations with Iran, Trump said that it would not.
The American President added: No, that is not the case at all. No, it is a war. We are in a state of war.
Shooting down an American plane in Iran
Earlier, CBS News reported, citing its own sources, that the American fighter plane that was shot down during a combat mission over Iran was a two-seat F-15E.
The Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters in Iran also announced the downing of an American F-35 fighter developed by the fifth generation in central Iran.
Also, the Iranian Mehr Agency reported on Friday evening that an American helicopter was hit by an Iranian projectile during searches for two missing pilots whose F-35 fighter was shot down on Friday morning in central Iran.
