The Zamalek Club Board of Directors will hold an important meeting at six in the evening today, to discuss a number of vital files related to the club’s affairs during the next stage, most notably the administrative and organizational decisions related to the outcomes and decisions of the recent General Assembly.

Cairo 24 learned from its sources within the Zamalek Club that Hussein Labib, the club’s president, stressed the need for all members of the board of directors to attend the meeting, without exception, given the importance of the issues on the agenda, which require the full participation of the board before making any fateful decisions.
The source added that the club president called on members outside Egypt to participate in the meeting via video conference technology, to ensure the council’s completion and the attendance of all votes within the council.
The source confirmed that there is a strong desire within the Board of Directors to come up with decisive decisions during today’s meeting, related to organizing administrative work within the club, and activating a number of items approved by the General Assembly at its last meeting, in a way that ensures institutional stability and achieves the greatest degree of discipline during the coming period.
The source explained that the scheduled time for the meeting is six in the evening, but there is a possibility that it will be postponed for an hour or two, if the Council members agree to that, because a number of them are busy following the Egyptian national team’s match scheduled to be held today against the Angola national team, in the third round of the African Cup of Nations.
The Zamalek Board of Directors meeting comes at a very important time, in light of the many thorny issues within the club, whether at the administrative, financial or sporting level, especially with the continuation of local and continental competitions for the first football team, and the club’s need for clear and decisive decisions that guarantee the provision of the necessary stability for all teams and sports activities.
