The Directorate of Education in Matrouh Governorate announced the postponement of a number of exams scheduled for first-year secondary school students, in light of ministerial instructions and in implementation of the directives of Major General Dr. Mohamed Al-Zamlot, Governor of Matrouh, due to the bad weather conditions the governorate is witnessing.
Postponing the programming exam for the first year of secondary school
A statement issued by Matrouh Education explained that it was decided to postpone the programming exam for the first year of general secondary school, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow, to be held next Monday.
It was also decided to postpone the March exams, which were scheduled to be held today and tomorrow, to be held next Tuesday and Wednesday, due to the wave of bad weather and heavy rain hitting various parts of the governorate.
For her part, Nadia Fathi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Matrouh, confirmed that the decision comes in implementation of the mandates of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education, and out of concern for the safety and security of students, noting that the directorate places at the top of its priorities the protection of students and ensuring a safe environment for them during exams.
She added that these measures also aim to achieve the principle of equal opportunities for all students, in light of the current weather conditions, stressing that the situation will be monitored immediately in coordination with the relevant authorities.
