Today, Friday, January 23, 2026, the prices of iron and cement in the Egyptian market witnessed varying movements, ranging from limited increases to relative stability for some items, in light of the anticipation of contracting companies and investors, given the direct impact that these prices have on the cost of implementing residential and real estate projects.
These movements were the result of a number of factors, most notably changes in energy prices, the movement of the price of the dollar against the pound, and supply levels from factories, in addition to the market’s monitoring of the price gap between different companies, which reflects the difference in product quality and pricing policies.
