The forum is hosting; Dr. Ramadan Al-Sawy, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Lower Egypt Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Lotfy Zaki Shalabi, Assistant Professor of Jurisprudence and Head of the Jurisprudence Department at the Faculty of Islamic and Arab Studies in Dessouk, and the dialogue is moderated by Samir Shehab, a journalist on Egyptian TV.
Today, the Jurisprudence Forum at Al-Azhar Mosque discusses: The jurisprudence of transactions…the leasing contract and its contemporary applications
Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of the Al-Azhar Corridors, confirmed that the forum is an important platform to clarify the close connection between medicine and Sharia in various aspects of life, and reflects Al-Azhar’s efforts to provide integrated solutions in line with the Islamic religion and the challenges of the era, indicating that leasing in Islamic jurisprudence is a contract for a known permissible benefit – such as living in a house or working for a wage – for a known compensation for a specific period, and it is permissible according to the Qur’an, the Sunnah and consensus, and its two pillars are the lessor contract. The tenant, who is contracted for the benefit and rent, and the form of the contract is offer and acceptance, and its validity requires knowledge of the period and the ability to deliver.

He continued: The lease contract is one of the most important legal and legal compensation contracts that respond to the benefit, as the lessor is obligated to enable the lessee to benefit from a specific item for a specific period in exchange for a known fee. Its contemporary applications are operational leasing and financing services, and it is regulated by modern documentation systems to guarantee rights.
For his part, Dr. Hani Odeh pointed out that the forum is an important step towards enhancing societal awareness about the importance of jurisprudential and medical issues, stressing the necessity of building a society aware of the importance of preserving Sharia values in light of medical developments.
His Eminence added: The leasing contract remains a flexible financing and operational tool that has evolved from its traditional form to contemporary applications that meet the needs of individuals and institutions, with the necessity of adhering to Sharia and law controls in the updated contracts.
This forum is an extension of a series of events that enhance constructive and fruitful dialogue in our societies, and is scheduled to be held on Monday of every week after the Maghrib prayer in the Ottoman canopy of Al-Azhar Mosque.
